A new take on handprints…
My parents have a little embroidery hoop with my hand print painted on fabric that I made in preschool. Such a fun idea, but it is also static! I decided for miss Lia, that I wanted to try something new - an ongoing embroidery project.
I started out by cutting the fabric and verifying my hand would fit in the hoop… b/c clearly it is the same size as my 3 month old :). Then I traced Miss Lia’s hand onto the fabric and began embroidering.
The idea here is that every few months I’ll trace her hand again and add another layer of embroidery. I’ve done some more work since these pictures and am adding her name at the bottom. I’ll show ya’ll an update soon :)

My friend Chelsea is expecting her baby soon - March 8th. We’re all hoping she doesn’t have the baby on the 29th of Feb! Are there any 29th of Feb babies out there? When do you celebrate your birthday? Anyway, I really want to make something for the baby’s room and this is just the cutest. I love the bright colours and the fluffiness of the ‘cloud’ - just right to add some fun to the room. This tutorial is in French but run it through the old Google translate and you’ll be good!
I actually agree with this up until the last one. I’ve been knitting quite a while, and pinterest is pretty knew to me. I do pin knit projects i haven’t started, but I do actually work on and complete projects. And i’ve been trying to facilitate and participate in more social knitting lately!
